Postnatal Advise

If you have been feeling not quite yourself after the birth of your baby or are struggling to find your way through the early days, I'm here to help. Bonding can be affected when you are struggling. I offer reassuring and practical advice and also can provide practical help with the baby if mum needs to attend appointments.

Bonding with your baby

Baby blues hampers the bond between you and your baby. With my help, you can learn methods to manage these feelings and learn to bond with your baby. In addition to providing advice and support, I also work as a private maternity nurse. If you feel that you could benefit from my assistance, don’t hesitate to contact me.

What does it involve?

Review and plan of mum's individual needs and continuous support until mum is well

How much does it cost?

£80for 2 hours

Telephone or Skype consultation for worried parents

What does it involve?

If you're in a panic and can't get out the house, a reassuring telephone or Skype consultation can help.

How much does it cost?

£50for 1 hour

Terms and conditions

Payment due at time of booking

Saturdays and Sundays incur an additional charge of 10% of the total

Travelling costs are charged at 40p per mile

Cancellations: If you wish to cancel your booking, I must receive notification within 24 hours prior to your appointment or full payment is expected

Sallyann was our night nanny when our twin boys were newborn until they were 11weeks. She has been absolutely wonderful and we would definitely recommend her. She is so enthusiastic and caring-she clearly adores babies! One of the reasons we hired her is because she made us feel excited about having twins rather than scared of it! She has provided us with advice about routines and also how to cope with a toddler sibling. She has been very reliable and also flexible with her days. I am so pleased with how Tommy’s sleep training went, a lot of my family were skeptical especially when we started it, but wow it has changed our lives. I couldn’t have done it without the support of Sallyann, she was brilliant. We started the sleep training at about 4 mths and now Tommy is 10 mths and still if I need Sallyann she is just at the end of the phone if I need to discuss altering his schedule at all.

Sallyann came to help us after the birth of our third child in April 2015. My two eldest where then aged 4 & 6, so we’re both at school/preschool and doing a number of activities and clubs after school as well. Sallyann helped us with the bath at night and also did some afternoons and morning drop offs to help get the older children where they needed to be while I looked after the baby. She was quite simply brilliant, Sallyann has a heart of gold and is incredibly loving and affectionate with the children she looks after. She went out of her way to make life easier for me and definitely helped settle the baby into a good sleeping routine. Her knowledge and experience means she is also very well qualified to advise on issues of feeding/sleeping/comic and she devised some general scheduling for the days to help me maintain the baby’s sleeping habits -not in a strict way, but just as a guideline. We had a lot of difficulty with feeding in the early days as my baby was tongue tied and not gaining weight well. Throughout this Sallyann was a huge emotional support, as well as providing a lot of useful information and advise through her past experience. At about three or four wait looked as if I would have to stop breast feeding altogether, but Sallyann helped advise me on how to increase my milk supply and I was able to continue combination feeding for over 5 mths, she never made me feel under pressure to do anything a certain way, but she was very supportive and helpful with any decisions. She really was a bit of a life saver for us and made the experience of having a newborn as joyous as it should be by taking out a lot of the stress and worry. My elder children absolutely adore her and she engaged brilliantly with them as well. She is an incredibly thoughtful and kind person who is also very experienced and good at her job. I would thoroughly recommend her services.
